Baby Bump Update : 13 Weeks

As of Saturday I am 13 weeks pregnant. This week will be the end of of the first trimester. I know I have a lot further to go, but I already feel like it is going so fast. I am definitely starting to feel better than I did earlier in pregnancy.

Looking Back On Week 12 (6/21-6/27):

June 23rd: First Ultrasound
It was my first real doctors appointment with a full exam. Ry and Sophia were going to just wait outside for me, but they took me into a room with ultrasound equipment. I asked the nurse if Ry and Sophia could come back to see. She went about got them. We met one of the doctors. She was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. She did the ultrasound and it was amazing. I couldn't believe how much the baby moved and how much we could see. Every little finger and toe was visible on the screen.  After it was done Sophia and Ry left so that I could have a physical examination.

After the appointment I let Sophia call my mom and tell her she was going to be a big sister. She was so excited. We also took pics of her holding a print that said she was being promoted to big sister and Facebook shared.

June 24th: Acid Reflux
Tuesday I had acid reflux so bad I ended up getting sick.

June 25: Acid Reflux and Puke #2
Once again another terrible day with acid reflux. I ended up getting sick again. I consider myself lucky to not be one of those women that  have morning sickness, but it still was very uncomfortable to feel like my stomach was on fire.

Most of the week my energy level was better. I didn't feel like falling asleep all the time like I had in previous weeks.

Big News!

I disappeared from the blogging world for awhile, but I was still jumping on here to read my favorite blogs. May and June have been super busy, but I will do a post on that later.  There was one piece of big news shook everything up was finding out that I'm pregnant! I wanted to wait to share until we had a doctors appointment and made sure the baby was healthy. Monday (6/23) we went to the doctor. I only expected to hear the heartbeat on the doppler, but we got to have an ultrasound! I was so excited. It was so beautiful to see the little fingers and toes as it moved around.
